True Purpose
Psalm 27:4 – One thing we desire:
“One thing I have desired of the LORD,
That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the LORD
All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the LORD,
And to inquire in His temple.”
True Fulfillment
Luke 10:39-42 - One thing we need:
“…Mary, who was seated at the Lord’s feet, listening to His word…Martha was distracted with all her preparations…only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”
True Goal
Philippians 3:13-14 - One thing we do:
“…one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
Prayer: Lord, let us be people of One thing – You and Your ways. Seeking You, loving You and searching You out with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. Let us press on in the highest of callings – living for You!
