This post is apart of Sunday Setlists.
FYI: This little guy–Samuel–is still in need of a sponsor via Compassion.
I didn’t lead worship this week, except in leading the choir’s special, because of dealing with laryngitis leftover from a cold, but here’s what we did today:
Early service:
- Immortal, Invisible
- Come, Let Us Worship and Bow Down
- Worthy, You Are Worthy
- Awesome in This Place
- Choir: Who Can Satisfy?
- Fill My Cup, Lord
- ‘Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus
Contemporary service:
- Hosanna (Baloche)
- Beautiful One
- Better Is One Day
- Dance Like a Father
- I Need You More
It was different to worship without being able to sing, but who said worship is supposed to be painless or without sacrifice? (Check out this blog post: The Myth of a Painless Offering of Worship as well as Romans 12:1.)
Both services were powerful. Wow and ouch powerful at the same time. (How’s that for descriptive words? Ha.)

“Hosanna” and “Beautiful One” two great songs!
“Dance like a Father” I haven’t heard that one who is it by?
Tis so sweet…..great hymn for todays church and America’s spirit.
Great worship set! Hope you keep feeling better. Out of curiosity who sing “Awesome in this place”? Could you send me some info on the song. It is a song that I might be doing in the future. Thanks!
I am loving Beautiful One and Hosanna right now, although my team hasn’t done them yet…
Hosanna is definitely a must add. I’ve been meaning to introduce that one for a while! Who does “Dance like a Father” and “I need you more”?
Hope the voice feels better. I always love a good cold. I naturally a tenor, but add a good cold and hello alto!
Answering questions…
Awesome in This Place – Dave Billington
Dance Like a Father – Jessie Goodman
I Need You More – Bruce Haynes/Lindell Cooley
@Chris: Funny that you go from tenor to alto during a cold… I go from soprano down to like alto/tenor!
yea it’s a great song!
I add the “You Are Worthy” TAG from Starfield’s “Son of God” and it works REALLY well. Definitely one of our people’s favorites.
I couldn’t sing this week either! Love “I Need You More”… one of my personal all time favorites.
