First, Nat is STILL without a sponsor. Sponsor five year old Nat of Thailand! I’ll be unable to post Compassion Friday this week, but pray he is sponsored ASAP.
(Not a haiku this morning, but a prayer as poetry nonetheless.)
Hear my prayer, my Lord and my God,
I wait for You, wishing all fear
would cease to take hold of me.
Greater are You, living in me,
No need have I
to let Satan cause me pain.
Fret not, my soul -
confusion and fear are not of God;
the enemy wants only to exhaust you.
Lord, You are above all;
Restorer, bringer of rest -
help me trust You as best I can.
I want to feel Your love, Your grace abounding;
Your Spirit living in me,
and guiding my every step.
I want to hear You unhindered,
not anticipating, living but listening,
the enemy’s lies bouncing off my shield of faith.
I want to let go,
to live in the present moment,
not in future, past or dwelling:
But with You, in this moment,
You living in me,
I resting in You and
pressing on toward the goal,
aiming for the pearl of greatest price,
for You and Your Kingdom and Your will alone.
